Chikaola seek Mighty Warriors win

JOHANNESBURG - Zimbabwe women football team assistant coach Yohane Chikaola has rallied the Mighty Warriors to make full use of their international friendly match against South Africa in their bid to become a household name on the continent.

Chikoala believes matches of this magnitude present an opportunity for the team to improve on their rankings whilst assembling a stronger squad for future assignments.

The team arrived here Wednesday night after a long trip by road from Harare to renew their rivalry with Banyana Banyana Saturday at Sinaba Stadium.

Thursday the Mighty Warriors held their first training session in the afternoon and Chikaola was confident they can post a win against Banyana Banyana.

“We are taking all our friendly matches seriously,” Chikaola told Daily News Thursday.

“As you are aware we have the Cosafa Cup coming this year. So this is a good preparatory match for the girls. Last month we beat Zambia in another friendly and we are looking forward to register another win."
