Chiefs wary of Ntabazinduna

BULAWAYO -  Southern Region division one log leaders Bulawayo Chiefs’ head coach Thulani Sibanda believes it would be folly for his charges to underrate third from bottom Ntabazinduna when the two sides clash in Ntabazinduna tomorrow afternoon.

“There is no room for complacencey on our part because Ntabazinduna are now performing well,” Sibanda said.

“Last weekend they drew with ZPC away in Hwange and before that they had beaten Quelaton so we have to be at our best if we are to come away with a good result.”

Chiefs lead the log standings with 27 points from 10 games while  Ntabazinduna have managed a paltry eight points from 10 outings.

Second placed Black Boots will visit third placed Bantu Rovers at Luveve Stadium tomorrow for a midday encounter that will be followed by another Southern Region clash pitting Zimbabwe Saints and Bulawayo Jumbos.

Newcomers Ajax Hotspurs host Hwange Under – 20 at White City in a match that their coach Gugulethu Hadebe believes they should win at all costs.

“I showed the boys the latest log in a bid to make them realize that defeat this weekend may see us sliding down to the bottom four,” Hadebe said.

“So they know what is at stake and are geared for a win that will help us retain our mid-table status.”

Both Ajax and Hwange Under -20 have amassed a total of 13 points from 10 games and an exciting match is on the cards as both sides boast of an array of promising youngsters.
