DStv knocked off top position

HARARE - Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) division one returnees Commando Bullets shot to the top of the log standings for the first time this season after edging ZRP Morris 1-0 over the weekend.

Commando took advantage of DStv’s slip up to put themselves in the driving seat of the second tier league.

DStv played out a goalless draw with Lake Harvest.

The army side now seat on 17 points following five wins, two draws and one loss.

DStv, who are yet to taste defeat this season, are in second place with 16 points off four wins and four draws.

Elsewhere, in week eight of the league, Starbill became the side with the most goals so far after plundering eight goals past Forrester.

Starbill now occupy eighth place with 11 points whilst Forrester are in all sorts of trouble, just one point from the bottom with four points.

Forrester have the worst defence record in the league after conceding 26 goals so far.

Meanwhile, ZPC Kariba took their points tally to 15 and now occupy third place after beating Jumbo Jets 4-1, their fourth win of the season.
