Bring your manifestos — Zinasu

HARARE - Zimbabwe National Students Union (Zinasu) is selling votes ahead of the much awaited harmonised elections to the most appealing political manifesto that will address students’ demands.

The students board’s General Council (GC), which comprises students representative council (SRC) presidents and secretary generals of tertiary institutions in Zimbabwe, will meet at Belvedere Teachers College on Saturday where they are expecting all political parties to come with their manifestos.

“The GC is a platform which will help students to know which party to support in the coming elections,” Believe Tevera, Zinasu vice president told a press conference in Harare yesterday.

“We will vote for a political party which has a fully-fledged package for us students.

“We have been disappointed by all political parties who are not addressing our demands as students. We want to make sure that we pave way for all students to have privileges known for students in Zimbabwe.”

The student representative union is running with the theme “A new generation of leaders repositioning the voices of students in elections”. - Bryn Gumbo
