'Boss shows subordinate porn video'

HARARE - Delan Nyandoro, the general manager of a healthcare organisation, allegedly showed his subordinate a pornographic video in bid to win her affection.

But the 36-year-old Nyandoro’s advances ended disastrously yesterday when the Premier Optometry general manager was hauled before the courts facing charges of possessing pornographic material and criminal insult.

The manager allegedly left a pornographic compact disc on her subordinate Rutendo Hakutangwe’s desk with instructions for her to watch it.

The court heard he later went into Hakutangwe’s office with his laptop playing a blue movie and placed it in front of her to watch.

Hakutangwe reportedly closed the laptop after she was shocked with the explicit video, the court heard.

Nyandoro allegedly removed the disc from his laptop and placed it on Hakutangwe’s table.

According to state papers, Hakutangwe told Nyandoro to take his disc but he ignored her and walked out.

She allegedly informed her superiors, Siphiliswe Kainga and Silinelelo Nomutenda about the incident, before filing a police report against her boss.

According to the prosecution, Hakutangwe felt insulted and degraded by the video.

The disc was taken to the Censorship Board for examination where it was concluded that the video portray oral sex, sexual intercourse, licking and general exposure of the human anatomy.

Nyandoro, who appeared before magistrate Don Ndirowei, was released on a free bail.

He will be back in court on February 28 for trial. - Ivan Zhakata
