Vengesayi completes City move

HARARE - Former Dynamos striker Martin Vengesayi has completed his switch to ambitious Castle Premiership side Harare City.

Vengesayi parted ways with the Glamour Boys after his contract expired at the end of 2012 and talks for a possible extension hit a brick wall after DeMbare offered the speedy forward a pay cut.

Debuting in the Castle Premiership last year, City finished a credible eighth-position on the final standings and have now set sights on an improved season this year.

The Sunshine Boys have already captured the services of former Dynamos trio of defender David Kutyauripo, Wonder Sithole and Timire Mamvura.

City chairperson Leslie Gwindi could neither deny nor confirm the developments yesterday.

“We are going to make announcements on new players soon. We are not at liberty to discuss about our squad at the moment but we will let you know in due course,” Gwindi said.

However, the Daily News sources confirmed the forward has sealed a two-year contract with the Harare City council-owned team.

Other players who are also trying their luck with  the Sunshine Boys are former CAPS United pair of Muzondiwa Gonese and Charles Chiutsa. - Sports Writer
