Saruchera keeps faith in squad

HARARE - Black Rhinos head coach Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera says he will retain the bulk of the squad that helped the army side gain Premiership promotion.

Rhinos became the first team from the four national division one leagues to be promoted into the Premiership after an impressive run last year.

“Most of the players are still here and, with those players, the club has been very successful already. We don’t want to change the whole team because we won the championship with about 11 points ahead so we have depth,” Saruchera said.

Chipembere last played in the Premiership was back in 2008 when Droment Chirova guided the team into the top flight.

“We have had enough of playing in the second tier league and gone are the days when one approaches the league with the intention of surviving relegation, we are going there to do well.” - Sports Writer
