Dance fiesta set for month-end

HARARE - Zimbabwe's top pole dancers Beverly Sibanda and Zoey Sifelani will headline a dancing competition involving 45 dance groups to be hosted by the City Sports Bar on January 22.

The dance competition at the end of this month is the first of three linedup by the Mega Dance Fiesta that was launched in 2010.

Dancers Association of Zimbabwe is using the Mega Dance Fiesta to promote dance groups in the country.
“I am glad that more than 45 dance groups have confirmed to participate in this event”, said Harpers Mapimhidze, the leader of the Dancers Association of Zimbabwe.

“This edition is bigger and is promising to be more exciting than the previous editions”. Mapimhidze said.
 The event, which will run from 6pm to 6am, will feature dancers such as Beverly Sibanda’s Sexy Angels, Zoey Sifelani’s Red Angels, Syndicate Girls and Apama Styles .

“We have also invited managers of entertainment joints as this will be a good opportunity for them to know the cream of Zimbabwean dancing”. he said.

All the dance groups that will take part in this event will receive an undisclosed flat fee from City Sports Bar proprietor Biggie Chinoperekwei, the sponsor of the event.

The other groups set to take part in the fiesta include Afro-Identity, Cassa Blanca, Nice Angels, Girls of Peace, Spice Angels, Manjenjenje, New Generation, Millennium Queens, Madness Styles, Malaika, Explosion, Ghetto Queens, Universal Queens, Fresh Crew, Crazy Boys, Amageshi, Fala Fala, Haranga Queens, Banyana Banyana, Diamond Queens, Cassa Moto, Dangerous Queens and Shining Angels,Blood Sisters, Sexy New Style, Unique, Aggressive, Royal Crew, Amasisters, Amanandos, Maestro, Burning Stars and La-Dolse. - Vasco Chaya
