Amai Charamba happy to share stage with Tuku

HARARE - Olivia Charamba, the wife of gospel star Charles Charamba, said the couple’s billed music concert with superstar musician Oliver Mtukudzi aka Tuku on Sunday will be a climax of the festive season.

The Charambas will share the stage with Tuku at Harare’s Richwood Sports Club, Mabelreign during a Sunday afternoon family music show.  

Olivia said: “We are so excited to share the stage with a music legend, it is such an honour that we got a chance to perform with him.”

The showcase is their maiden joint concert and it is expected to unlock the doors to a blissful festive holidays.

“We have never had a chance to perform with him, so this chance gives us a chance to interact with him and learn how he made it in the music industry.

“Tuku has maintained a favourable profile and we would like to know how he made it up to the top,” she added.

The gospel diva said during the showcase she is going to sample some of her new tracks on her album that is expected to hit the streets early next year.

“If all goes well, I will be sampling some of the songs that are on my upcoming album,” she said.

Mtukudzi and the Charambas are in the country’s Big 5 which also has other names such as Alick Macheso and Suluman Chimbetu. - Kaleen Gombera
