Zoc hosts Lesotho interns

HARARE - The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (Zoc) will host two interns from the National Olympic Committee (Noc) Lesotho, as part of an exchange programme that facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience between Olympic Committees.

Finance manager Moliehi Malokotsa-Ntjana and the acting project manager Pulumo Nchakha arrived in Harare on Sunday for the programme and will be attached to Zoc until November17.
Zoc is held in high regard by the Olympic Solidarity as one of the model organisations and since 2006 has trained interns from Botswana, Liberia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Somalia and Swaziland.

The internship is designed to leverage strategic and operational experiences between the two organisations.

The focus areas identified by Noc Lesotho are those of general administration, financial management and management of Olympic Solidarity programmes.

The programme is funded by Olympic Solidarity and aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience between Noc’s.

The exchange is an opportunity to provide technical advice and share information on site with critical areas of management and administration being covered and handled practically for the Zoc participants to observe and adopt.

The interns will have an opportunity to interface with key Zoc stakeholders including the ministry of Education Sport Arts and Culture as well as various stakeholders and partners of the Zoc. - SPORTS WRITER
