Gardener swindles Zanu PF MP

HARARE - Shurugwi South Zanu PF legislator Anastancia Ndhlovu’s gardener has appeared before a Harare magistrate’s for allegedly stealing money from his boss.

Pernshewince Gumbani, 22, who allegedly stole $800 meant for rent, appeared before magistrate Anita Tshuma on theft charges.

The court heard that Ndhlovu dispatched Gumbani to pay rentals at Sub-Saharan Real Estate last Thursday. She gave him an envelope containing $800 and fuel coupons worth 25 litres to hand over to Natso Mbire of Sub-Saharan Real Estate.

According to state papers, Mbire discovered that the envelope contained 25 litre fuel coupons only with the cash missing and informed Ndhlovu of the development.

Gumbani, the court heard, failed to give a satisfactory answer leading to his arrest. - Ivan Zhakata
