'We are ready to thrill Epworth'

HARARE - Joina City hit-maker Emegy Chizanga popularly known as Freeman in showbiz is set to thrill fans in Epworth on Saturday.

The dancehall doctor is to perform alongside Jah Prayzah and Progress Chipfumo.

Hillary Mutake, Freeman’s manager said they are prepared to mesmerise Epworth fans for the second time.
“We have been practising and we are ready to thrill Epworth,” he said.

Freeman specialises in Zimbabwean dancehall music — a blend of ragga, reggae and dancehall tones.

The 24-year-old musician has become popular in the ghetto with his hit Music Yemuno and Unondipa Rudo.

His latest 14-track album titled The Last Man Standing was well-received.

Songs which make up the album include Kuramba Ndaramba, Pressure a track which he featured Cally C, The Last Man Standing which features Princo Spice.

Freeman, became a household name after the release of his popular Joina City that featured Cally C last year.

His song Pressure is a continuation of the hit Joina City, a tale of a young lady who is impatient to get married while her lover insists on waiting.

The dancehall artiste has become one of the most recognisable urban groove artistes. He recently shared the stage with Jamaican international dancehall artiste Mavado in Harare. - Kaleen Gombera
