Rhinos on brink of promotion

HARARE - Nothern Region Division One log-leaders Black Rhinos will hope to take another huge step towards gaining Premiership status when they host ZPC Kariba at Commando tomorrow.

The army side are 14 points clear of second-placed DStv Rangers with four games remaining before season end.

Rangers play JMC at Old Hararians on the same day.

Rangers will hope to end their season on a high and replicate last weekend’s spirited performance which saw them thrash former PSL side Mwana Africa 5-0.

However, if Rangers fail to win and Rhinos beat ZPC tomorrow, the army side would clinch the ticket for promotion with two games in hand.

Elsewhere, Aces Youth Academy will have a chance to restore some pride to a troubled season when they play Power Master at Hellenics today.

Aces anchor the NRL league with 18 defeats from 26 games. They are on 14 points.

Today: Aces v Power Master (Hellenics).

Tomorrow: Blue Jets v Banket (Pfupajena), DStv Rangers v JMC (Old Hararians), Twalumba v Mwana (Africa Callis), Flame Lilly v Jumbo (Chikurubi), Eiffel Flats v Skylink (Rimuka), Black Rhinos v ZPC Kariba (Commando)

Sunday: DC Academy v Scotia (Hellenics). - Sports Writer
