Rhinos, Flame Lily clash in Div One

HARARE - The battle for supremacy between uniformed forces will reach its peak on Sunday when Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) logs leaders Black Rhinos travel to Chikurubi to take on Flame Lilly.

Bragging rights will be on the line when the army side and the prisoner services team clash in a match Rhinos are desperate to win to maintain a healthy lead in the race for promotion.

Rhinos sit aloft of the NRSL log with 50 points from 22 games, seven points adrift of closest rivals DStv Rangers.

Nesbert Saruchera’s men emerged 1-0 winners over Flame Lilly in the return fixture and will be hoping to complete a double over the Chikurubi-based outfit.

Elsewhere in the NRSL, Rangers play Scotia at Old Hararians needing an outright win to keep within shouting distance of the army side.

Meanwhile, struggling Aces Youth Academy face ZPC Kariba at Hellenics hoping to salvage some pride to their troubled campaign.

AYA anchor the 16-team log having only won three games from their last 22 matches and with just 14 points on the log the side looks set for an early exit from the second tier league.
