Hungwe to guest-pose in Zambia

HARARE - Leading Zimbabwean bodybuilder Victor Hungwe has received an invitation to perform guest-poses during the Lusaka Contest in Zambia next month.

The reigning Pro Fitness champion will go through the routine poses with five Zambian bodybuilding greats on October 17.

Hungwe told the Daily News that apart from making an appearance, he will also be expected to conduct a fitness seminar as well as sharing his bodybuilding experience with the Zambian bodybuilding fraternity.

“I won’t be competing; I will only make a guest appearance. But prior to that, it will be my duty to conduct a seminar with all the aspiring contestants a day before the contest,” Hungwe said.

“It is a huge step for me considering that I have never done such a thing outside Zimbabwe and this comes along with lots of opportunities to reach out to the huge market in Zambia and beyond, which also helps boost my profile.”

Early this year, Hungwe claimed a South African accolade after he won the Shameem Classic contest in Cape Town in March.

He collected his second title of the year after he bagged the inaugural Musclemania Zimbabwe contest last month.

The victory in August won him a ticket to next month’s Musclemania Africa to be staged in Uganda on October 6.
