Wickets tumble in Kwekwe
Wednesday, 28 November 2012 12:22
HARARE - Hosts Midwest Rhinos were bowled out for a paltry first innings total of 65 runs by Matabeleland Tuskers on day one of their Logan Cup clash at Kwekwe Sports Club yesterday.

Remembrance Nyathi, batting at number eight, top-scored for Midwest with 22 runs while English-man Jack Mickelburgh (16) was the only other batsman to record double figures.

Opening bowlers Glen Querl and Keegan Meth inflicted much of the damage, claiming five and four wickets respectively as the hosts were bundled inside two hours.

In reply, the Tuskers reached 176-8 in their first innings at stumps.

Sean Ervine top-scored with 35 while the in-form Moeen Ali added 32 runs.

Ed Rainsford ended the day with three wickets while fellow seamers Mluleki Nkala and Richard Muzhange grabbed a brace apiece. — northamptonchron.co.uk
