HARARE - Bulawayo Cricket Club League resumes this weekend with two matches lined up in the four-team league.

On Sunday, log leaders Emakhandeni 1 will clash with third-placed Crescent at Bulawayo Athletic Club (BAC) with bottom-placed Roosters taking on second placed BAC 1 at Queens Sports Club.

The majority of players on the Bulawayo club scene play for Matabeleland Tuskers in the domestic franchise league.

This weekend all the franchises are inactive as they are busy preparing for the commencement of the country’s first-class competition, the Castle Logan Cup, that begins this coming Tuesday.

Emakhandeni 1 features players such as John Nyumbu, Brian Chari and Thabo Mboyi, all who play for Tuskers while the other Tuskers players like Sean Williams, Charles Coventry, Chris Mpofu and Gavin Ewing turn out for BAC 1.

Crescent have in their ranks Godwill Mamhiyo, Brad Staddon, Keegan Meth and Terence Duffin. The Tuskers duo of Keith Dabengwa and Njabulo Ncube turn out for struggling Roosters.

In the Harare Metropolitan Province, the Vigne Cup continues with five matches lined-up for tomorrow.
New log-leaders Harare Sports Club host third-placed Rainbow at Prince Edward School in a clash of the league debutants.

Harare Sports Club, still high on confidence after seeing off Alexandra Sports Club by five wickets last weekend, take on Rainbow, who fell to defending champions Takashinga 2 by 33 runs last weekend.

Country Club, currently second on the log table in the Harare Metropolitan Province, host Alex in a tricky fixture in Highlands.

Old Hararians will clash with Takashinga 1 at Takashinga Sports Club.

This weekend will also see perennial rivals Old Marlvenians and Glenshire clash at Old Hararians.

Takashinga 2 date Uprising.
