Bosso Legends for Vic Falls
Saturday, 15 December 2012 12:53
BULAWAYO - Football fans in Victoria Falls will this weekend get a chance to re-live old memories when former Highlanders greats take their on-going national tour to the resort town on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the Bosso Legends, Marko Dube, confirmed the trip.

“This weekend we will be in Victoria Falls where we will play against former footballers from that part of the country and I would like to urge football lovers to come in their numbers to watch the action,” Dube said.

Highlanders Legends have recently been to Harare and Tsholotsho and Dube said they will be touring other parts of the country in the coming weeks.

“Our next port of call will be the City of Gweru on December 22 and after that we will go to Plumtree and then Beitbridge,” Dube said.

Last weekend the Bosso Legends hosted a four-team tournament at the Highlanders Clubhouse that was won by Mzilikazi Pirates.

Some of the former greats who are active in the former Bosso stars outfit include legendary goalkeepers Peter Nkomo and Johannes Tshuma, former star linkmen Willard Mashinkila Khumalo and Tito Paketh, former defensive rock Douglas “British” Mloyi and the legendary Ndlovu brothers, Adam and Peter.

The Bosso Legends will welcome back into their fold the slippery Siza Khoza who missed last week’s tournament as he was attending a coaching course.

Khoza and his former teammates in the Highlanders side that won four championships on the trot at the turn of the century, Thabani Masawi, Melusi Mabaleka Sibanda and the current Highlanders assistant coach Bekithemba Ndlovu, provide the youthful energy to the Bosso eldermen outfit.
