Warriors continue to fall in rankings
Sunday, 12 May 2013 12:09
HARARE - Zimbabwe have dropped four places on the latest Fifa rankings released by the world football governing body yesterday.

The Warriors are now ranked 105th in the world and 29th in Africa.

Klaus-Dieter Pagels’ men have lost ground after a 2-1 defeat to Egypt in a World Cup qualifier in Alexandria in March and last month’s 2-0 friendly international loss in Zambia.

Meanwhile, world champions Spain continue to top the table on the Fifa rankings ahead of Germany, Argentina, Croatia and Portugal, who all make the top five in that order.

In Africa, Ivory Coast are still the continent’s highest ranked team followed closely by Ghana, Mali, Nigeria and Algeria. - Sports Writer
