HARARE - Ambitious Castle Premiership side Harare City have completed the signing of former Dynamos fullback David Kutyauripo on a free transfer.
Debuting in the Castle Premiership last year, City finished a creditable eighth position on the final standings and have now set sights on an improved season this year.
Kutyauripo joins the Sunshine Boys as a free agent after his contract with DeMbare expired at the end of last season.
The defender put pen to paper on a one-year contract with an option for an extra year.
“I’m obviously disappointed to leave Dynamos, I would have wanted to stay if it was up to me but I am happy with the offer that Harare City tabled,” the veteran right-back said yesterday.
“No player wants to leave Dynamos, but at the end of the day you have to weigh your option and make-up your mind. I’m now officially a Harare City player and this season I will give my all to help the club fight for honours. They are a modest club with clear ambitions. It is their ambitions which drove me.”
The Sunshine Boys, who have already began pre-season preparations, are also after another ex-Dynamos player, Martin Vengesayi.
The speedy forward is now contract-hunting after failing to agree personal terms with the champions for a new deal.
Former Dynamos players Wonder Sithole and Timire Mamvura are also training with the Sunshine Boys.
