ZB on brink of Bankers League title
Wednesday, 19 September 2012 10:04
HARARE - Bankers Soccer League log leaders ZB boosted their chances of lifting the title for the first time after they beat Ecobank 2-0 at ZB Sports Club this weekend.

With only two games remaining in the league, ZB, who have only lost three of their last 18 games, top the log with 39 points.

ZB’s closest rivals, FBC, who were in action this past weekend, have 37 points from 18 games.

ZB only need four points from their last two matches to secure the title regardless of results from FBC.

Elsewhere, CBZ completed a double over Kingdom after winning 3-0 to take their tally to 36 points from 18 games.

Stanchart continued with their good form when they massacred struggling Stanbic 4-0.

NMB collected maximum points after beating TN 3-1 whilst POSB got the better of CABS 3-0.
