Buffaloes edge Harare City
Monday, 22 April 2013 12:09
HARARE - Farai Banda scored from the spot in the second half as Buffaloes beat Harare City in the Castle Premiership here yesterday.

Rusape referee Robert Mugorosa in the sixth minute denied what looked like a clear goal for the visitors when he adjudged Osborn Mukuradare to have been in an offside position when he pounced on a spilt ball by Buffaloes goalkeeper Chengetayi Tandadzai to slot home.

The home team was awarded a penalty when defender Dickson Crispen failed to cope with Jacob Muzokomba’s pace and fouled him in the box.

Banda blasted past City keeper Maxwell Nyamupanendengu.

“We played well and got our goal as early as the sixth minute which was denied,” said Harare City coach Bigboy Mawiwi. “I was not amused by that. Last season we scored four goals and again they were denied. In the first half we dominated the match and in the second half we conceded a silly goal.” - Sydney Saize
