BULAWAYO - Legendary Zimbabwean footballer Adam Ndlovu will be buried in Bulawayo on Saturday, his family revealed yesterday.

 Family spokesman, Madinda Ndlovu, told journalists at a media briefing held at MAP offices in the city that his young brother will be laid to rest at the weekend at a yet to be named cemetery.

 "It has been agreed by the family that Adam will be buried on Saturday, but his burial place is yet to be confirmed as we are still in talks with stakeholders," Ndlovu said.

Adam's young brother Peter, who is admitted at Mater Dei Hospital after suffering injuries in the same accident that claimed his brother's life near Victoria Falls on Sunday morning, is also expected to attend the burial.

 "The doctors have assured us that Peter is in a stable condition and he will definitely be at Adam's burial," Madinda said.

 "Tests were carried out on Peter and the results show that his injuries are treatable. The injuries to his ribs are just chips and the fractures to his legs are not that serious and he will be able to walk after being operated on."

 The former Highlanders star revealed that the family had earlier yesterday broken the news of Adam's passing to Peter with the assistance of hospital authorities.

 He said: "My brother Marko and I broke the sad news to Peter together with the hospital authorities and we have since requested them to keep a close eye on him and monitor how he will cope with the news."

 Madinda also took the opportunity to dispel rumours that the family was considering sending Peter outside the country for treatment.

 "As a family, we have faith in our health system and he will be treated here unless there is a need to send him to another country.”

 The Botswana-based former Highlanders and Warriors coach said Adam's children were expected in the country today, while their United Kingdom-based sisters and their youngest brother arrived in the country yesterday.

 There are plans for Adam's body to pass through Barbourfields Stadium on his way to his final resting place and Madinda said there may be other activities on the day as talks with stakeholders were on-going.
