HARARE - Relieved Motor Action coach Joey Antipas says he will now proceed with his plans to travel to Europe for coaching attachments following the lifting of his five-year Asiagate ban yesterday. 

Antipas, who had shelved plans to partake in coaching attachments in Denmark and Germany early next year, said:  “I heard about it earlier but has it been made official?” Antipas asked this reporter.

“I had been hoping to get cleared so that I could go for another attachment in Europe. To be honest, I’m super chuffed, but from the beginning I knew I had no case to answer. Zifa, on the other hand, had to go through the formalities. The saga was like a monkey on my back and it’s a big relief that it has fallen off.”

The Motor Action mentor had a three-week coaching attachment spell in Europe, where he was attached to German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund and Denmark’s VFL Bochum.

He says if all goes well, he will be attached to the same Bundesliga club as well as Aalborg of Denmark for at least two months, beginning next February.
