HARARE - Highlanders striker Milton Ncube has tried to end talk of a move away from Bosso by stating he would like to help the Bulawayo giants in their quest for elusive silverware.
Ncube had a fairly successful first season with Bosso after joining from former Castle Premiership champion Motor Action at the beginning of last year, netting 10 goals in Tshilamoya’s unsuccessful title chase.
Bosso lost out to eventual champions Dynamos on mere goal difference, prompting Ncube to declare his hunger for silverware in the forthcoming 2013 season.
"I have heard a lot about my intended move to several clubs,” Ncube told the Daily News yesterday.
“Personally, I think those are rumours. I’m a Bosso player, I’m very happy there and I am not leaving. It’s just speculation.
“A player who is not frustrated at not winning titles is either lying to himself or lacks ambition. I want to extend my stay at Bosso, as players we need support from everyone, including the coaches and the executive to keep motivated. Nothing beats motivation and unity of purpose. We should all pull in one direction because team-work can produce results. I’m enjoying my stay here. I’ve enjoyed it since the first day I came. It’s a terrific football club. It’s fantastic, they like me here.”
