HARARE - Premier Soccer League (PSL) chief executive Kenny Ndebele has warned all top-flight clubs against violence following the crowd trouble that marred Sunday’s match between Shabanie Mine and Harare City.

Shabanie Mine fans were not amused by referee Sambulo Dube’s decision to disallowed two own goals by Harare City, which sparked a wave of violence leading to the abandonment of the game with City leading 1-3.

Premiership giants Highlanders have already been fined US $8000 after being found guilty for instigating violence during their match against Shabanie at Maglas Stadium on Good Friday.

 “We will look at the referees report and deal with issue accordingly,” Ndebele told Daily News yesterday.

“We condemn all forms of violence. It’s now very worrying to everyone because it’s giving a bad picture to our football. All clubs should shun all forms of violence and adhere to the rules and regulations of the game.

“This year we have already fined Highlanders for instigating violence and I want to warn all Premiership clubs that we will take stern measures against the perpetrators.”

Meanwhile, action continued in the league with newboys How Mine climbing to fourth place on the log table after dismissing Buffaloes 2-0 at Luveve Stadium. The win left the miners trailing joint log leaders Highlanders and FC Platinum by just two points.

Army side Black Rhinos got off to a winning start under the guidance of new coach Arthur Tutani after dismissing their counterparts Black Mambas 2-1 at Morris Depot.

Tutani replaced the sacked Nesbert Saruchera last week.

The win saw Chauuya Chipembere going up on the ladder to number 11 with two wins from as many matches. They have won twice, drew three and lost four matches.

Chicken Inn continued with their fine form, condemning Motor Action to their fifth defeat of the season. They won 2-0 at Luveve.
