Warriors continue to fall in Fifa rankings
Sunday, 20 January 2013 11:18
HARARE - Zimbabwe has dropped one place on the latest Coca Cola/Fifa rankings released yesterday.

The Warriors fall from position 101 to 102and thanks to their 2-0 loss to Angola in their decisive African Nations Cup qualifier in October.

Klaus-Dieter Pagels’s men also dropped two places on the continental rankings, from number 26 to 28.

The Warriors, however, are hoping to move up the rankings when they resume their World Cup qualification campaign against Egypt in March.

There was little movement in the world’s top 10 with world champions Spain maintaining pole position while Germany are number two with South American giants Argentina  occupying third place.

Ivory Coast remained Africa’s top-ranked team on the global rankings on position 14 followed by Algeria on position 22. - Blessings Mashaya
