Kaindu wary of Sundowns threat
Thursday, 24 January 2013 12:07
HARARE - Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu says he is well aware of the threat posed by Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of the South African giants’ Zimbabwean tour opener against his side next Wednesday.

The Brazilians, who will play Highlanders, Dynamos and CAPS United on a five-day whistlestop tour of the country, will kick start against Bosso at Barbourfields Stadium on January 30.

“Everyone knows that Mamelodi is a big team with a strong financial backup and we are excepting a strong challenge,” Kaindu told the Daily News yesterday.

“With all due respect, we will seize our chances against them. But I know they will be thinking the same way.

“Sundowns are currently playing very well, but let me just say we are going to work harder and the best team of the day will win on the day.”

Kaindu said preparations for the encounter were going smoothly.

“We were given enough time to prepare for the match, all players have showed their commitment and I know they will be ready for a big challenge.”

After Highlanders, the Pretorians will travel to the capital for a date with CAPS United on February 1 before winding up their tour with a clash against Zimbabwean champions Dynamos two days later. - Blessings Mashaya
