HARARE - Zimbabwe Cricket yesterday officially released the itinerary for the forthcoming Bangladesh tour of Zimbabwe which includes two Tests, three One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 matches.

The Bangladesh team is due to arrive on April 9 soon after Zimbabwe returns from their on-going tour of the West Indies.

Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo will hosts all limited-over matches with Harare Sports Club playing host to the Tests.

The T20s will kick-start the month-long series on April 13 with the second and final match following the next day.

The ODI series gets underway from April 17 to 21 while the first Test will start on April 30 in Harare.

The tour was originally scheduled for June last year but was postponed after ZC re-laid the pitches at the country’s two main grounds.

The two teams last played against each other on Zimbabwe’s return to Test commitments in August 2011, with the Zimbabwe making a victorious to the five-day format with a 130-run win at Harare Sports Club.

The African side will be hoping that by the time they welcome the Tigers, they would have restored some pride. Zimbabwe are currently on the verge of a tour whitewash in the Caribbean.

Zimbabwe lost all three ODIs and two T20s against the hosts ahead of the two-match Test series, which begin on March 12 at Bridgetown.

Meanwhile, leading Bangladesh players Shakib Hassan and Tamim Iqbal are set to miss this year’s edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as it clashes with the Zimbabwe tour. However, the two are seeking a “No Objection Certificate” from their board to participate in the four matches that falls outside the Zimbabwe tour.
