Kaindu impressed with by signings
Tuesday, 12 March 2013 11:57
HARARE - Highlanders are back in Bulawayo following a victorious pre-season tour of Botswana where they played a friendly against top-flight side Tafic FC, with coach Kelvin Kaindu tipping his new signings to be big hits in the upcoming new season.

Tshilamoya won 1-0 at Francistown Stadium on Saturday thanks to returning strike Njabulo Ncube, who continued with his rich vein of scoring form ahead of the upcoming new season.

“It was good performance and I was impressed with our new signings and I think our strikers are improving,” Kaindu told the Daily News yesterday.

“The Botswana tour was an eye opener as it showed us the areas we need to work on. Like I’ve always said, we still have a long way to go because we need to work on the combinations and perfect them so that when the season starts, we will be a well-oiled machine.”

It is the form of Ncube which will particularly delight Kaindu.

The burly striker netted a brace in another pre-season match against Tripple B at Barbourfields Stadium last week to give Bosso hope for more goals in the new season. - Sports Writer
