Tripple B home away from home

HARARE - Triple B may have been denied the opportunity to host Dynamos in front of their home fans in today’s Castle Premiership in Beitbriedge but coach Friday Phiri insists the Harare giants have no advantage at Mandava Stadium this afternoon.

The two sides clash at 3pm at the neutral venue in Zvishavane, some 214 kilometres away from Dulibadzimu Stadium.

This was after the PSL considered Dilubadzimu unfit to host a team of Dynamos magnitude.

Triple B has thus had to contend with travelling with a few band of supporters to the mining town of Zvishavane.

But the Premier league debutants are likely to gain some sympathisers from the Zvishavane community, who would love nothing less than for Dynamos to drop points, to allow FC Platinum to stretch their lead at the apex of the log.

“At this stage we can’t keep on talking about the past, we just have to go on with the program that the PSL has set,” Phiri told the Daily News on Sunday.

“Yes we have a few supporters that have followed us here but at the end of the day, the burden whether we win or lose rests with players. Every player knows what is stake and the morale is very high.”

It seems Mandava Stadium itself has turned into one of Dynamos most successful hunting grounds.

The stuttering defending champions are yet to taste defeat at this venue collecting victories over FC Platinum in both their League fixtures played at the stadium in 2011 and 2012 season.

But as much as Dynamos might be seasoned campaigners they come into this match having escaped with five draws from their last five games leaving them perilously at the bottom end of the log.

FIXTURES

Today: Tripple B v Dynamos (Mandava), Monomotapa v Shabanie Mine (Rufaro), Highlanders v Black Rhinos (Barbourfields), Hwange v Chicken Inn (Colliery).
