Platinum host Gamecocks

HARARE - FC Platinum have vowed to guard against complacency when they host Chicken Inn in a Castle Premiership encounter this afternoon at Mandava Stadium.

The platinum miners come into the match on the back up of a 1-0 Mbada Diamonds Cup semi-final win over Shabanie Mine in last weekend’s quarterfinal match at Mandava Stadium.

“We will be very cautious when we get into the match tomorrow (today), I’m not happy with our position and have been telling the guys to work hard in training so that we can have at least a top four finish,” Chikuni told the Daily News yesterday.

“Chicken Inn are a good side, you can tell by the position they sit in the league, this is a league match and very different from a Cup game which is why we are trying to guard against complacency and play for the maximum points.”

Meanwhile, FC Platinum are currently sweating over the availability of forwards Benjamin Marere, Allen Gahadzikwa and Donald Ngoma.

The three picked up injuries in training and although they went through some light training yesterday, their availability will be decided through late fitness tests this morning.
