Chapungu, FC Strikers battle for second place

HARARE - Chapungu and FC Strikers posted emphatic wins over the weekend as they fight to finish the season on second position following the promotion of Tripple B into the Premiership last week.

Chapungu beat Midlands State University 4-2 at Ascot Stadium on Saturday to move into second position ahead of FC Strikers on goal difference, beating relegated side Jessie Mine 5-2.

Chrome Stars consolidated their place in fourth position despite being held to a nil-all draw by log leaders Tripple B in Kwekwe.

Hwahwa continued with their fight against relegation when they held FC Platinum Under-19s to a goalless draw at Mandava Stadium while Town United demolished Silo United 5-2 at Dulibadzimu.
