Thursday, 15 November 2012 12:47
HARARE - Hardbody kissed goodbye to Premiership football after they went down to Black Mambas at Morris Depot yesterday to end their one year stay in the top flight.

Nicolas Alifandika and Last Chibwiro scored for Black Mambas to keep the police outfit’s survival hopes alive.

Going into the match, Hardbody needed a win to take their fight against relegation to the last game of the season at the weekend.

Their resilience was however, broken on 50 minutes when a lovely through ball from Innocent Nyoni found Alifandika, who tucked neatly into the corner of the net for Rhinos’ first goal.

Rhinos extended their lead after Chibwiro finished off from a good run by Paida Madziro in the 65th minute.

Hardbody found their consolation goal through Malvern Nyakabangwe on 84 minutes after received a cross just in the box before firing past Mambas keeper Tonderayi Mateyaunga.

Meanwhile, relegated Quelaton lost 1-0 to Shabanie Mine at Maglas Stadium in Zvishavane yesterday.

Shabanie needed a 73rd minute goal from Farari Mususunye to dislodge a spirited Quelaton, missing four key players due to suspensions.
