Gunners keep survival hopes alive
Monday, 05 November 2012 13:08
HARARE - Gunners keep their slim Castle Premiership relegation survival hopes alive with a victory over Harare City yesterday.

Willard Gondo scored with a header after 26 minutes to instil some hope in Gunners’ survival ambitions with just two games remaining before the season ends.

The 2009 Zimbabwe champions are still in the relegation zone with 28 points. They will finish the season with tricky matches against Motor Action and Chicken Inn.

“We need to continue winning in order to keep our relegation survival hopes alive,” said Gunners coach Chunga said.

His counterpart Bigboy Mawiwi blamed his players for wasting scoring opportunities.

“Our approach was not good. We did not play our normal game. I told the boys to be more serious in the second half but nothing came out they failed to utilize chances which came on their way.” - Blessings Mashaya
