Pasuwa focuses on future

HARARE - Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa, wants to forget the local glory he has achieved by a double in two consecutive seasons by concentrating on their upcoming exploits in Africa.

The former Dynamos midfielder told Supersport.com that there is no time to rest if they want to do well in Africa this time around.

He said they will be sitting down soon with management and board to look at the way forward for the team in continental competitions, having qualified for the African Champions League.

He added that he was happy as a coach to win a double in two seasons at his former team, where he never achieved that as a player.

“I am happy we had a great season and two great achievements in terms of coaching to win two major trophies back-to-back,” he said.

“But for me this is just a learning curve. I believe I am still learning and there is more to come. We finished the season on Saturday and we will sit down with the club executive and map our way forward.

“We will give them our report back and then start preparing for next season. We will look at each and every player’s contribution and retain those we need and offload those whom we are not interested in.

You know we are going to be playing in Africa so we need a strong team which will help us achieve things,” Pasuwa concluded.

However, Glamour Boys are reportedly poised to lose the services of strikers Simba Sithole, Denver Mukamba and Roderick Mutuma — who have all attracted interest in South Africa. — Supersport
