Young Sables ring changes

HARARE - Zimbabwe's Under-19 rugby side lock horns with North African giants Tunisia at Prince Edward School this afternoon in their second game of the Confederation of African Rugby (Car) Under-19 Championships.

In a bid to strength the side, Young Sables head coach Bright Chivandire has made five changes to the starting line-up after narrowly beating Kenya 13-10 in their tournament opener on Saturday.

Chivandire has gone for a new halfback pairing, opting for Ian Surtees at scrumhalf ahead of the more experienced Robert Sergeant.

The versatile sportsman Luke Masasire has been handed the number 10 shirt, less than 72 hours after touching down from Australia, where he played for Zimbabwe at the ICC Under-19 World Cup.

Tarisai Musakanda moves from flyhalf to fullback while Tinashe Toriro has been relegated to bench.

Flank Tawanda Chowe, lock Mathew Lawson and prop Kudakwashe Mukwavaire all lost their places too.

Lazarus Chisaya, Munashe Gwenzi and Clive Musasiwa will all take their spots.

Zimbabwe were given a scare by Kenya last Saturday to hold on for a win.  The Young Sables missed a lot off tackles and their handling was appalling.  They only managed to get out of jail in the dying minutes of the match through Chikodzi , who planted a try under the sticks to earn an unconvincing 13-10 win.

On the other hand, Tunisia’s campaign started on a bad note as they were walloped 44-07 in their opening match by Namibia. However today, if they play to their strength, using their big forwards and starve Zimbabwe of the ball, they are capable of causing an upset.

ZIM STARTING LINE-UP
