Unesco holds workshop for media trainers

HARARE - Journalism and media lecturers from training institutions in Zimbabwe have convened at Harare Polytechnic for the commencement of a capacity building workshop.

The workshop, sponsored by United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco), will see all journalism lecturers equipped with digital media skills that include website development and hosting, blogging and online journalism.

Officially opening the workshop at Harare Polytechnic’s Division of Mass Communication, acting secretary-general of the Zimbabwe National Commission for Unesco Themba Ndlovu, said Unesco remains committed to the advancement of journalism training. - Staff Writer
