NSSA to confiscate ZBC's vehicles over $700 000 debt

HARARE - The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) is today expected confiscate Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC)’s vehicles over $700 000 the state broadcaster owes the workers’ social protection institution in employees’ pension contributions since 2009.

The property includes the State broadcaster’s vehicles belonging to managers.

“You are required and directed to attach and take into execution the movable goods of Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation Limited…and of the same cause to be realised the sum of $722 401,00,” reads part of the writ of execution shown to the Daily News.

“We are made to understand that the deputy sheriff has attached executive cars. This is why their managers were here (yesterday) negotiating for time to pay, but tomorrow (today) we are collecting the cars,” said Vanani Simon Nyangulu, whose law firm is representing Nssa. - Staff Writer
