Crash shocks Tsvangirai
Tuesday, 06 November 2012 10:10
HARARE - Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has expressed shock at his spokesman Luke Tamborinyoka’s horror crash.

The PM’s spin-doctor, a trained journalist, is currently receiving care and treatment at Harare’s Avenues Clinic, where he was still in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit, drifting in and out of consciousness.

Tamborinyoka was involved in a car crash early Sunday morning when his Toyota Prado burst a rear tyre and rolled four times at around 2am while travelling to his rural home in Domboshawa. He was with three family members in the car, who escaped with minor injuries.

“We trust that God gives them courage. I have known Luke for a long time and he is a passionate, capable and courageous member of the team,” said Tsvangirai.

It was not immediately clear who will continue to handle day-to-day briefings with political journalists while Tamborinyoka is recuperating. — Gift Phiri
