Thursday, 08 November 2012 09:53
HARARE - The Zimbabwe Media Council yesterday joined the rest of the media fraternity in wishing Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s spokesperson, Luke Tamborinyoka a speedy recovery after a near fatal traffic accident over the weekend.

Tamborinyoka, who is admitted at Avenues Clinic in Harare is said to be slowly recovering following the accident which happened after the vehicle he was driving burst a tyre.

“Mr Tamborinyoka, a renowned professional journalist, who played a positive role in the establishment of the Zimbabwe Media Commission, has always been a passionate colleague when it comes to representing workers’ rights.

“This was seen during his tenure as secretary-general of the Zimbabwe Union of Journalists from 2001-2003.

“We would like his family and relatives to know that we are with them in prayer as we wish him a speedy recovery.

May the good Lord deliver him,” reads the statement from the Zimbabwe Media Council. - Own Correspondent
