HARARE - Urban grooves star Donald Chirisa popularly known as Sniper Storm is set to perform in Cape Town, South Africa at end of this month.

“I am flying this month to perform at Platinum lounge in Cape Town on October 27,” said the Ndakabata Mic hit singer.

Courtesy of Mighty Duffs Sound System, a local promoter who has links with other promoters in South Africa, The General is going to thrill music lovers in the diaspora.

“I am going to perform with Creation and Bad Man other Zimbabwean musicians who are based in South Africa,” said the Love Yemusoja soloist.

Sniper said everything for the show has been set and he is only waiting for his flight.

“Everything is in place, accommodation bookings, the place I am going to perform, they are just waiting for my arrival,” he said.

Sniper said the shows he is performing out of the country are giving him attractive profits.

“They cover all the expenses my only contribution is my voice. I no longer travel for weak cash, I am not that type anymore,” he said.

Recently, top urban groovers have been performing internationally.

Last month Roki and ExQ wowed fans in the United Kingdom.

The artistes were invited by Madboiz entertainment, an organisation made up of Zimbabwean promoters who are based in the UK.

ExQ said that they were well-paid for their performances outside the country.

“We are well-paid and performing out of the country is such an experience as we will be performing for Zimbabweans who would have missed home,” said the, music ace.

Sniper Storm, King Shady, and Nox Guni in July this year performed two gigs in the United Kingdom.

Fans in the Diaspora enjoy the visits of the urban grooves.

Sniper Storm last released an explosive album Salute the General.

Since making his breakthrough on the musical scene with his hit track Kubhinya, he has maintained consistency, releasing one good album after another.

His popular album Ghetto Gospel, which carried tracks like Musikana Haarohwe, Kisimusi, Simukai vanhu vemughetto, could not scale to the heights set by Kubhinya.

His most popular hit which is the latest track is Love yemusoja a track that has been doing well on the local chats and played in the ghettos.
