HARARE - Prominent show organiser Partson Chimboza of Chipaz Promotions was injured and hospitalised after hurting his arm on Sunday while playing social soccer.
He was admitted at West End Hospital in Harare.
His friend and fellow music promoter Josh Hozheri of Jazz 105 said Chimboza is recuperating.
“I visited him yesterday (Monday) and he is recuperating at the West End Hospital,” said Hozheri.
Efforts to contact Chimboza were fruitless as he was not answering calls before switching off his mobile phone.
Chipaz reportedly dislocated his arm.
Chimboza is very active in the showbiz circles and is known for organising big events which include concerts among others.
He works with virtually every good artiste in the country including the sungura ace Alick Macheso, Zora maestro Leonard Zhakata, Suluman and Tryson Chimbetu, the Charambas and Jah Prayzah among others.
He was one of the organisers of the just ended Tuku@60 a bash meant to celebrate Oliver Mtukudzi’s birthday.
The Tuku bash held at the Glamis arena saw more than 10 000 people attending including South Africans.
