HARARE - Trailblazing jazz artiste Dudu Manhenga, launched her first ever gospel album at the Book Café on Wednesday, and crafted seven packages which partners can invest in.

Dudu has lined up four official launches of For You, her new gospel music album in Harare and three other cities which investors can take advantage of.

The partnership packages, unveiled during the Media and Business Partners Launch of Dudu’s fifth album range from ordinary to platinum.

Investors who subscribe to the top-end Platinum Partnership package, which costs $3 000, will be allowed to display three banners, flight a minute-long electronic advertisement and inscribe their logos on the sleeves of the first 1 000 CDs of For You.

The platinum partner will also be entitled to a speech during the album launches.

The low-end Ordinary Partnership package, which will cost just $150, will entitle the sponsor to a single banner display.

The other partnership packages which attract varying privileges are gold, diamond, silver and bronze.

Bulawayo-born Dudu insisted during the Book Café launch that she was looking for investors and not sponsors.

“We are looking for partners; for investors who will get value from partnering us,” said the former St.
 
Columbus High School head girl who is training to be a pastor in the Pentecostal Assemblies of Zimbabwe.

Dudu added that they decided to make a nationwide album in response to persistent requests from fans outside Bulawayo and Harare.

“The investors and partners have an opportunity to partner with us during the album’s launch in various cities,” said the leading Zimbabwe jazz singer who gave a classy performance of three songs off her debut gospel album during the glitzy launch.

Women Affairs minister Olivier Muchena replaced Media and Information minister Webster Shamu at launch.

The other luminaries who attended included National Arts Council of Zimbabwe director Elvas Mari, Trevor Manhanga, presiding Bishop at Pentecostal Assemblies of Zimbabwe, former Miss Zimbabwe Oslie Muringai-Matsikenyere who was the director of ceremonies, the album’s producer Tamie Bimha and creative director Nicolas Nare. - Dakarai Mashava, Entertainment Editor
