HARARE - Rising music star Jah Prayzah will launch his forthcoming album Tsviriyo in the United Kingdom early next month.

The 10-track album will be launched on March 27 in Harare after which the 25-year-old Uzumba-born artiste, who put up an impressive act during Sunday’s Zimbabwe National Army Charity Shield at Rufaro stadium, will fly to the United Kingdom for three shows between May 3 and 5.

“All the travelling arrangements are in place,” said the energetic performer.

“I am excited to be returning to the United Kingdom for the re-launch of my fourth album called Tsviriyo.

“I will first launch the album here in Zimbabwe at Jazz 105 on March 27,” said the Sungano singer.

Diamond Studios, who promoted his first tour to the United Kingdom last year, are again facilitating the lanky artiste’s forthcoming tour.

The last time he went to the UK Jah Prayzah says he was pleasantly surprised by the reception.
“It was amazing; I was not expecting such a huge crowd to attend my concerts .The audience really fell in love with my music.

“This time we are more confident and more experienced .We have refined our stagecraft a lot since then and we are very confident that we are going to surpass our previous act,” he said.

So great was Jah Prayzah’s UK performances last year that a 33-year-old saxophonist from Coventry in UK called Chris Oswell followed him all the way to Zimbabwe. Oswell was a guest of Jah Prayzah for two months.

Jah Prayzah believes his forthcoming fourth album will be his best album to date.

“I rate Tsviriyo very highly. It is different from my previous albums because I recorded it with my own band — The Third Generation. To record my first three albums I had to hire other bands such as Jabavu Drive but this time around I am ecstatic because I used my own band,” he said.

Mukombe, whose three albums Sungano, Rudo Nerunyararo and Ngwarira Kuparara have him catapulted into the top bracket of Zimbabwean musicians, collaborated with Oliver Mtukudzi and Progress Chipfumo on the forthcoming project.

“In a nutshell, fans should expect a fun-packed and mature album from me,” said the all-conquering musician who had four songs in the Radio Zimbabwe top 50 last year, which Zimbabwe Broadcasting (ZBC) officials said was a first.

Jah Prayzah told the Daily News that he has already begun working on the shooting of two videos for the songs Tsviriyo and Vana Muchimana.
