HARARE - Jah Prayzah’s much-awaited 10-track album Tsviriyo will be launched tomorrow at Jazz 105.

Tsviriyo, the 25-year-old Jah Prayzah’s fourth album, will be launched at the popular entertainment joint where Suluman Chimbetu will be a special guest artiste.

Jah Prayzah, whose real name is Mukudzei Mukombe, is upbeat about the album.

“Tsviriyo is different from my previous albums in the sense that I recorded it with my own band — The Third Generation”, said the towering Uzumba-born artiste.

“I used to hire other bands such as Jabavu Drive and this time I used my own group,” he said.

Jah Prayzah, whose three other albums are Sungano, Rudo Nerunyararo and Ngwarira Kuparara rates the new album as his best yet.

“I featured celebrated artistes Oliver Mtukudzi and Progress Chipfumo on this album. I hope the latest project will go a long way in demonstrating my maturity in the music industry,” said Jah Prayzah.

He said the album will be followed by two videos of the songs Tsviriyo and Vana Muchimana.

“Firstly I will do just two videos. I will take my time to work on the rest of the songs on the album”.

The Sungano singer will leave on his second tour of the United Kingdom where he is expected to do the UK launch of the album.

“I have lined up three concerts in the UK from May 3 to 5. All the travelling documents are in place and I am glad to return to the United Kingdom for the second time,” said the dreadlocked artiste. - Vasco Chaya
