HARARE - Hordes of women jostled to catch a glimpse of Nigerian duo P-Square after the hit-makers landed at the Harare International Airport for a show billed as one of 2012’s major highlights.

Fans mobbed the star-twins as soon as they stepped outside the arrivals lounge.

P-Square arrived with 11 other band members, fulfilling the promise to play with a live band, but the band members did not take much of the attention as all eyes were on the Beautiful Onyinye singers.

P-Square is in the country for the Lion Lager Summer Beer Festival which is expected to light up Harare’s Glamis Arena on Saturday. Even little children made the crowd and had a rare experience of having photos taken with the duo.

One of the band members identified as Wande said although they had not seen much of Zimbabwe, the reception was re-assuring.

“We have always heard about southern Africa and the countries we heard mostly about are South Africa and Zimbabwe. So far the reception has been good and I think we are going to enjoy ourselves here,” he said.
