Comic Carl to ‘break ribs’ at Rainbow Towers soon

HARARE - High-Flying Zimbabwean stand–up comic Carl Joshua Ncube is set to host a one-man show at the Rainbow Towers on October 5.

The much-hyped show, billed as one of best shows on the comedy calendar, carries a price tag of $10.

All those who have experienced Ncube at his best on stage, always profess getting value for their month.

Ncube presents his farewell show before embarking on an expedition to take Zimbabwean comedy to USA.

He will share with the audience this night, the experiences that have brought him to this point, the embarrassing incidences and funny stories along the way.

A ground-breaking show, technologically this will set in the minds of those present the future of comedy from Ncube’s eyes.

Ncube laces his performance with high doses of humorous short stories, hilarious jokes and one-liners.
The tickets will be sold at the Rainbow Towers.

Described by CNN African Voices as the “New face of Zimbabwean Comedy”. Ncube broke onto the Zimbabwean comedy scene with his debut one-man show Carl Joshua Ncube’s Big Annoouncement setting him up as one of the best Zimbabwean stand-up comedians.

Considered by his peers as an innovator; constantly pushing boundaries in multimedia.

Ncube  is currently on a quest to take his version of Zimbabwe to the world.

Although he is still fairly new in the comedy scene, Ncube has already created a huge following with all of his shows throughout the country attracting huge crowds.

He has also pioneered a new comedy platform, Simuka Comedy together with other upcoming comics in the country like Doc Vikela, Simba the Comic King and Michael.

Through sheer hard work and tenacity, Ncube has broken into the South African comedy circuit and has performed with some of that country’s leading comedians who include Mel Miller, Dave Levinsohn and Kedibone Mulaudzi among others.

He has also performed in some of Africa’s biggest comedy platforms rubbing shoulders with the continent’s biggest names such as Basketmouth, Daliso Chaponda, David Kibuuka, Ndumiso Lindi and Kagiso Lediga.

Ncube’s brand of comedy has also won the heart of the corporate world, as he is one of the sought-after-master of ceremonies and performer in the country.
