HARARE - After a glorious fortnight in which Suluman Chimbetu launched his fourth album, Syllabus before being voted the best male musician at the Victors Awards, Jazz 105 will throw a farewell  party for the dendera artiste tonight before his departure for the United Kingdom.

Harare entertainment joint Jazz 105 believes that Sulu’s glory-laden last fortnight deserves recognition.
““We would like to congratulate Sulu for the success he has had in the last couple of weeks”, said Yasin Dhala, a representative of the popular music venue.

“We are wishing him a safe journey to and from the UK. He is leaving for the UK on Tuesday (tomorrow).

“He made us proud at this year’s edition of Victors Awards where he was chosen as Zimbabwe’s best male musician.

“We are celebrating with him this remarkable achievement because he has always been associated with us.”
Jazz 105 is indeed one of Suluman’s favourite venues.

He launched his third and fourth albums at the venue.

“Jazz 105 is our favourite hunting ground.

“We launched the album Non Stop in 2010 at this joint and we returned there again recently to launch the album Syllabus”, Orchestra Dendera Kings’ publicist Joe Nyamungoma told the Daily News yesterday.

Suluman released his debut album entitled Ndomusiya Nani in 2007 with his second Reverse Deal coming two years later.

 Suluman is scheduled to leave for the United Kingdom tomorrow for a show in Luton on November 30 before performing in Leicester on the first day of December.

The dendera superstar will then proceed to Manchester before signing off the United Kingdom tour in Scotland.

Sulu will spend a fortnight in the United Kingdom.

Suluman is hoping that his return to the United Kingdom will end on a better note than his previous one.

Last year in April, Suluman prematurely cancelled shows in the United Kingdom after the promoters who had facilitated his tour, Dragon Inc and Dairai Promotions headed by Arthur Janjawa, had failed to meet financial commitments. - Vasco Chaya
