AfrAsia Kingdom wins two awards

HARARE - AfrAsia Kingdom Zimbabwe Limited (AKZL) chief executive Lynn Mukonoweshuro has been awarded the inaugural Most Customer Focused Executive (Private Sector Category) by the Contact Centre Association of Zimbabwe (CCAZ).

The prestigious award was presented to Mukonoweshuro at the Zimbabwe Service Excellence Awards dinner held last week at the Rainbow Towers Hotel.

In the Service Excellence Awards, Financial Services Sector category, Kingdom Bank Limited came out as second runner-up.

The Most Focused Executive of the Year award recognises executives who would have demonstrated vision and leadership in building the organisation with strong customer viewpoint from the top to the bottom, superior brand and customer-centric culture.

The Service Excellence Awards for the sector recognises excelling organisations in the consumer-facing industry involved in the delivery of service to customers.

Mukonoweshuro thanked her team saying she could not have received the award without their support.

“Excellence and wealth creation are the hallmarks of our services achieved through the observance of our values of communication, respect, integrity, learning, teamwork and excellence,” she said.

“At AKZL, through our payoff-line “Greater as One”, we value our customers’ feedback and comments.  

“In pursuit of this objective, AKZL customer call centre operates 24 hours a day.

“As we continuously strive to serve our customers better, we are celebrating the opening of our new more spacious Kingdom Bank Samora Machel Branch at Karigamombe Centre on 10 September 2012.”

Mukonoweshuro said the group is also in the process of relocating its Gweru branch to a new location, which will be bigger and more spacious.

“We have added two new MicroKing Finance branches in Murehwa and Gokwe for the convenience of our MicroKing clients.

“To help support our branch network, we have 27 ATMs strategically positioned around the country for the convenience of our clients,” added Mukonoweshuro.

The Zimbabwe Service Excellence Awards ceremony is organised and managed by CCAZ in partnership with the ministry of Tourism, Consumer Council of Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority in honour of organisations and individuals that would have excelled in customer service delivery.
